**Intervals**

The Interval is the distance between two note. Can be calculated easily by counting how many notes there are between the lowest and highest note.

Esample:

We are calculating the interval C – G. Now as you can see by watching the stuff, there are some line and space between the two note ( C and G ). All you have to do is to count how many lines and spaces you have starting from the first note to the last one.

**C/1** – d/2 – e/3 – f/4 – **G/5. So we will say that this is a Fifth Interval.**

**There are different kind of intervals:**

- Unison – 1
- Second – 2nd
- Third – 3rd
- Fourth – 4th
- Fifth – 5th
- Sixth – 6th
- Seventh – 7th
- Octave – 8ve
- Ninth – 9th
- Tenth – 10th
- Eleventh – 11th
- Twelfth – 12th
- Thirteenth – 13th

**And different Quality**

- Major – M –
- Minor – m –
- Perfect – P –
- Augmented – A –
- Diminished – D –
